Don't end the year Inactive - Handicap Information
The 2009 Season is coming to an end. Those of you with Handicaps have you ensured you have provided 3 Qualifiers this year to ensure your Handicap Remains Active in 2010?
It is 20 years since Tim Hutton left his position as club professional at Sleaford Golf Club to create a new venture with his family at Carlton Scroop. With 20 years in the golf industry to that date, Tim had identified a need for a place that encouraged people to try golf. At the time golf was often perceived to be exclusive, expensive and not always friendly towards anyone wanting to take up the game, particularly children. Furthermore, the only venues that were readily available to budding golfers were limited to seaside pitch and putts and crazy golf.
The UHS is based on the expectation that every player will return a sufficient number of scores to provide reasonable evidence of their current ability. To operate in the intended manner, the UHS requires information i.e. the return of Qualifying Scores to produce handicaps that reasonably reflect current ability.
We have launched a new designed website. The new design will still feature all the same content as the previous site. However it should now be accessible more easily and laid out in a more professional manner. It will also hopefully be more compatible with the different web browsers and display resolutions that people use.
