THANK YOU ALL AGAIN.  A GREAT TOTAL FOR THE NEO NATAL UNIT AT THE QMC NOTTINGHAM

The HUGE cheque of £1,400.00 was presented at the Seniors' AGM on MONDAY 13TH JANUARY - REPORTED BELOW -

The “Big Neonatal Appeal” of the Nottingham University Hospitals has benefited from the year-long support of the Sudbrook Moor Senior golfers.  The massive sum of £1,400 has accumulated from a small section of the club membership, with the steady drip of weekly donations, two bumper raffles, several fun challenges of “Beat Ben Hutton, the Professional” and generous individual gifts.  Charity representative, Henry Amor, travelled from the University Hospital to receive the donation from Senior Captain, Mick Massingham, on behalf of his senior members.   Henry thanked the senior golfers for helping the 1500 babies who every year receive tailored care at Nottingham Hospital.  State of the art equipment, research and family support are all possible through these charity donations.  Extra hospital improvements are available for premature and sick babies, their parents and families, at times of difficulty and emotional suffering.  A hospital target of raising £4 million in 4 years had been realised ahead of time.  Senior Captain Mick thanked his fellow golfers for their magnificent support and sought them to support the 2020 Captain, Steve Squires in the same way.

END OF 2017

David's Charity Target has been surpassed - not £1,000 but you have all done amazingly, with a generous and enthusiastic GRAND TOTAL of having reached £1,122-22.  It has been discussed and unanimously agreed to send donations as follows -

£900 to Alzheimers Research, £100 to LIVES and £122-22 to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire AirAmbulance Charity Trust.

In the photo below, 2017 Captain, David Guy, completed his Charity Year by presenting a share-out of the grand total.  Left to right, David Guy, Jeannie Priest representing The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire AirAmbulance Charity Trust, Mike Francis and Linda Kingston from LIVES, and Matt Clarke from Alzheimers Research UK.
